For online gold investing, Non-farm payrolls are a subject that has to be studied (unfortunately, I have not studied it before ), so what are Non-farm payrolls? The so-called non-agricultural data, English: Non-farm Payrolls, also known as employment situation report, non-agricultural employment report, etc., is a data indicator that reflects the employment status of a country’s non-agricultural population. The so-called non-agricultural population refers to those office workers who do not work in farmland but engage in industry and commerce in cities. As a world economic power, the United States has an extremely important influence on the global economy, so the non-agricultural data that people often talk about now refers to the non-agricultural data of the United States.

The U.S. non-agricultural data is enough for ID Shares The U.S. Department of Labor’s detailed survey of American households and businesses involves more than 60,000 American households, more than 400,000 companies and government departments. The complexity of the survey project is amazing. The survey covered a total of more than 40 million people, accounting for almost half of the US non-farm employment population. Therefore, many data collection measures ensure the authority and authenticity of the data.

The release time of non-agricultural data is generally at 8:30 pm Beijing time (summertime: April-October) or 9:30 (winter time: November-March) on the first Friday of each month.

As important economic data is released every month, the non-agricultural data truly reflects the latest employment situation in the United States, directly showing the economic performance of the United States, and is an important indicator to observe the social, economic and financial development. So this data has an important impact directly on the dollar:

Actual value > expected value == positive for the dollar (correspondingly, negative for gold)

However, the non-agricultural data is divided into actual value, expected value and the previous value. The relationship between these three will affect the change of the dollar to varying degrees, thereby affecting the market price of gold. The changes in these data can be summarized as:

When the number of new jobs increases, it is bullish for the dollar, bearish for gold

When the number of new jobs is reduced, it is bearish for the dollar, bullish for gold

According to Mr. Liu Tangxin’s non-agricultural data analysis gold method, the following rules can guide the short-term operation of gold:

  1. Announced value> expected value> previous value, significantly negative for gold
  2. Announced value > Expected value & Announced value < Previous value, slightly negative for gold
  3. Announced value> previous value> expected value, unexpectedly strong non-agricultural data, strong negative gold
  4. Announced value < expected value < previous value, bullish gold significantly
  5. Announced value < expected value & announced value> previous value, slightly bullish gold
  6. Announced value < previous value < expected value, non-agricultural data unexpectedly weak, bullish gold

According to the above gold analysis method, you can try to use the 5-minute candlestick chart before the release of the non-agricultural data. Of course, there are no absolutes in the world, and it is impossible to have a 100% successful trading strategy, as long as you set a stop loss!

As for how to view the released non-agricultural data, it is recommended that you go to the following websites:

https://investing.com/economic-calendar/

This website can also easily set reminders. In addition to the non-agricultural data, there is also a small non-agricultural data (ADP) that can also be viewed on this website. The small non-agricultural transactions are basically the same as the large non-agricultural data, which can be said to be a preview. It is usually announced 2 days before the big non-agricultural!

Money management is very important in trading, so we need to control the risk and reward to make good management of found! Forex trading involves navigating the complexities of currency markets, where every decision carries financial implications.

There are many tools for risk/reward control for forex with MT4/5, but if you are using the cTrader (one of the great trading tools), I think you can try the “Risk and Reward Management cBot” !

The cTrader “RR Management” is a cBot developed by C#, it is a powerful tool that will help you control the risk and reward, you can easy to drag the stop and take profit line to set your values.

You can follow the below steps for Install and use it:

  1. Download from here
  2. Open it in cBot menu in cTrader

You will find there are many parameters for that tool

The parameter’s sections:

1) Panel alignment: Set the panel position and alignment

2) Style Settings: Set the SL/TP line style and color

3) RR Management: Set the default value for risk and reward values, this is the core function values, I will describe later

4) Auto Take Profit 1,2,3: It can set the auto take profit conditions here, it supports 3 conditions item

5) Auto Set Break Even: It can auto take break-even with these settings

3. Usage

Run the cBot and you will find the below screen panel:

There are many values and buttons in the panel:

After learning investment techniques for a period of time, what inspires me the most is not how to learn how to achieve advanced and effective techniques, but the management of funds! A good capital management operation can achieve a long-term profit from a technical !

When it comes to capital management, we need to talk about the risk and reward ratio. Only by doing a good job in the profit and loss ratio can it be possible to make long-term profits. What is the profit and loss ratio? As the name implies, it is the ratio of profit and loss. Before you make a trade, you should consider how much you can profit and how much you will lose at most. If you want to set the profit and loss ratio to 1:2, that is, you invest 1,000 yuan, and finally What you earn will be $2000, and if you lose the deal, you will lose $1000 completely.

Since investment trading is a game of probability, as long as your profit-loss ratio is set to be greater than 1:1, after a long-term operation, you will gradually realize that the profit exceeds the loss!

When it comes to profit and loss ratio, we have to talk about stop loss! Because you don’t have a stop loss, there is no way to calculate the profit/loss ratio. This is a relatively obvious experience in the foreign exchange market. Since foreign exchange transactions all use leverage, if you do not set a stop loss and let it play, the final result will be very serious, and you may wake up when you wake up. You will find that all your funds have been emptied and you have to make up the leveraged loan to the agent, which is something no one wants to encounter 😣. Because of this, I was the first to realize the importance of this P/L ratio in the foreign exchange market!😀

Just like in foreign exchange trading, setting a stop loss is crucial when investing in stocks. Companies like Blizzard Entertainment, known for their popular video game franchises, can be volatile in the stock market. Without a stop loss, an unexpected drop in blizzard stocks could result in significant losses for investors. By setting a stop loss, investors can limit their potential losses and calculate their profit/loss ratio, allowing for a more informed investment strategy. It’s important to remember that investing always carries some level of risk, but by using tools like stop-loss orders, investors can mitigate their risk and make more informed investment decisions.

However, for the stock market, this profit-loss ratio may not be so straightforward, because stocks are unlikely to lose all your money (unless you are so unlucky that the company goes bankrupt and no one takes over 🙃), so To achieve the profit-loss ratio in the stock market, it is even more necessary to set the position of the stop loss. If you buy 1,000 shares and the total investment is 50,000 yuan, then you must have a stop-loss position in mind. If you stop loss and leave the market after a 5% drop, you will lose 2,500 yuan, but if the stock rises by 10%, You should also leave the market with a profit immediately. No matter how it rises, it doesn’t matter to you. In this way, you will earn 5,000 yuan, and if you lose 5%, you will win 10%. This achieves the effect of a 1:2 profit-loss ratio.

In order to facilitate the calculation and understanding of the effect of the profit and loss ratio, the following takes foreign exchange as an example. If you buy a target and the expected loss is 50 US dollars, you can earn 100 US dollars if you win. We can try to make statistics. 6 times, there are 6 failures to stop the loss and the total loss is 300 US dollars, the remaining 4 times are successful profits, the total profit is 400 US dollars, and the final total profit is 400-300 = 100 US dollars! how? If you operate with a 1:2 profit-loss ratio, the winning rate is only 40%, but you still make money in the end 😀. This is the importance of capital management!
